ABOUT US
Driven by the justified frustration of millions, we are a national grassroots cancer advocacy movement created by cancer patients and for cancer patients to reform and unfuck American Healthcare.

The message is simple:
PATIENTS OVER PROFITS
OUR MISSION
To organize, mobilize and unite all cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates, and stakeholders to demand equity, transparency, accountability, and a healthcare system that prioritizes cancer patients over profits.
OUR VISION
An American Healthcare System where cancer patients are guaranteed timely, affordable, and comprehensive access to care that empathetically acknowledges the human cost of cancer and eliminates systemic barriers to survivorship.
OUR GOAL
To become the leading national platform amplifying the voices of the cancer community, uniting stakeholders to address inequities, advocate for immediate policy and protection reforms, and drive systemic change in cancer care..
WE THE PATIENTS
PROCLAMATION
WE, THE PATIENTS..

We have had enough.
We have a moral reckoning.
We have a national reckoning.

No more prior authorizations.
No more appeals.
No more deductibles.

We are not out of network.
We are stronger than any insurance claim.
We are louder than any denial letter.

We are for every patient who ever died waiting.
We are for every family that went broke just trying to live.
We are for every loved one lost to a denied claim.

We are not here to raise awareness.
We are not waiting for permission.
We will not be placed on hold.

We have the right to a healthcare system that doesn’t profit from our pain.

We, the survivors.
We, the caregivers.
We, the parents.
We, the veterans.
We, the grieving.
We, the people.

WE, THE PATIENTS.
OUR FOUNDER

Founded by award-winning national patient advocate ;and 29-year cancer survivor Matthew Zachary, WE THE PATIENTS is not just a new national grassroots movement—it’s a reckoning. A rallying cry for a nation that’s had enough of pain, betrayal, and injustice.

As the founder of Stupid Cancer, Matthew ignited the young adult cancer movement, amplifying the voices of millions of patients, survivors, and caregivers overlooked by traditional healthcare. He is now bringing We The Patients to the country.

This grassroots movement is transforming outrage into action. We are the voice of a nation that refuses to be silent. We are the embodiment of America’s desperate cry for help.

Join us now and keep abreast of our progress.

There is much more to come.
