DEI or Die: It's Big Pharma Time

Trump, Musk and their lackeys trying to gut DEI not just within the government, but also in the private sector and now they're coming after Big Pharma with the pressure treatment of "Fall in line, or else."

Why? Because apparently, making sure medicine actually works for all people is just too “woke” for them.

Veterans?

Marginalized communities?

People with disabilities?

Screw ‘em, right?

We know diversity in clinical trials isn’t a political debate. It’s a scientific requirement. You can’t develop effective drugs if your data is skewed, your trials exclude entire populations, and your results are a joke outside of a narrow demographic. This isn’t a political ideaology—it’s life and death.

So, how’s Pharma responding?

Some companies actually get it. They’re standing their ground, saying, “No, we’re not going to let uninformed political theater dictate how we develop medicine.” These companies understand that ignoring diversity means bad science, bad medicine, and bad outcomes.

And then there are the spineless ones.

The ones who see the political winds shifting and decide to tuck their tails between their legs. The ones who know better but would rather grovel than take a stand. Their silence is loud, and it’s pathetic.

To those holding the line: Keep going. Patients need you to.

To the ones rolling over: Shame on you. You’re not just betraying your mission. You’re betraying patients, science, and basic human decency.

Healthcare isn’t a culture war battleground. If you can’t grasp that, you shouldn’t be anywhere near drug development.
