Open enrollment is here. 🎉 😒 which means its time to pick which insurance company gets to approve then deny your chemo next year.

The plans all look the same because they’re designed to. Every insurer counts on you missing the landmine on page 47 paragraph 2 subsection 33d. The one that says your cancer drug isn’t covered. Or your oncologist is suddenly “out of network.” Or that experimental treatment that might save you costs more than your house.

My friends at Breastcancer.org just dropped the decoder ring every patient needs. They mapped every trap: The prior auth that takes six weeks when you have six days. The “step therapy” that makes you fail cheaper drugs first, even when your doctor knows they won’t work. The specialty tier that charges you 40% of a $10,000 drug.

Here’s what they won’t tell you at HR:

1) Short-term plans? They’re exit scams. They take your money until you get sick, then vanish.

2) Medicare Advantage? It’s Medicare Disadvantage when you need specialists. Ask John Oliver.

3) Healthcare Sharing Ministries? They’re GoFundMe with prayer circles. Not insurance.

4) That “affordable” high-deductible plan? You’ll pay $15,000 before it covers a bandaid.

The guide names every scam. Every loophole. Every place they bury the bodies. Read it before you pick. Because the wrong choice doesn’t just cost money.

It costs lives.
