Please Meet Lexi Silver

🚨 🎙️ ♥️ THE MOST IMPORTANT INTERVIEW I’VE DONE THIS YEAR ♥️ 🎙️🚨

I want you to remember the name Lexi Silver.

She’s a 14 year old High School freshman and a friend of my daughter. At the age of 10, she’s lost both of her parents—one to cancer (and sepsis), one to addiction — orphaned within 9 months.

She’s been forced to grow up on her own in ways no child ever should. She’s lived through trauma most adults can’t even begin to process. And yet, somehow, she’s still here—writing, leading, grieving out loud, and refusing to let the world define her by what she’s lost.

I just taped one of the most extraordinary interviews of my career. Lexi sat down with me for Out of Patients, and we talked about life, death, grief, anger, hope, identity, and what it means to be young in a world that doesn’t know how to sit with pain.

This is not a sob story. This is not an inspirational after-school special. This is a real human being who’s doing something extraordinary with what life handed her—and it will change you.

📅 The episode drops in late July. It might close out Season 9. And I promise you: you’re not ready for it. But you need to hear it.

In the meantime, go follow her on Instagram at @meet.my.grief. Read her poetry collection, and buy her book "The Girl Behind Grief’s Shadow".

Learn her name. Support her work. Share her magic. And get ready to meet someone unforgettable.

Lexi is not a victim. She’s not a brand. She’s not a project.

She’s a force. And we should all be paying attention.
