That Time I Guested on Bloodstream Media
There are very few people I’d rather shoot the shit with than Patrick James Lynch. We’ve walked similar roads, built weird empires out of survivorship, and figured out how to use a microphone as both weapon and therapy. Being a guest on Bloodstream felt less like an interview and more like two old friends time traveling through trauma, media, fatherhood, and GenX sarcasm with the volume all the way up.
We talked about everything: my defibrillator of a cancer diagnosis at 21, losing my music career, launching Stupid Cancer when MySpace was still a thing, and why I walked away at the top to actually be a Dad.
We got into podcasting before it was called that, and how “advocacy” today needs less inspiration and more political teeth.
Patrick drinks the Kool-Aid because he's been in the arena. You can’t fake that. And in a sea of healthcare BF, BloodStream Media delivers something rare: actual substance with zero condescension.
Listen to this episode if you want to remember why storytelling still matters and how surviving gives you the right to burn shit down and rebuild it better.
