Mayor Lou: 79 And Counting

Today my dad turns 79.

Most people in my world already know him as “Mayor Lou”, the unstoppable force behind Stupid Cancer‘s AYA Caregiver universe before anyone had a playbook and the man who showed an entire generation of boomers what it means to stand by their children when all shit hits the fan.

If I’m the Podfather, he’s the Godfather.

Millions of people still know his name because he made them feel seen.

He’s my hero. I’m proud he’s still with us. And as he always says: “Every day above the grass is a good problem to have”.
